say “no” to fast food
I did a juice cleanse. After i watched “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead” I had to try it. Since, I have been really good about eating healthy lately (sticking to a diet consisting of mostly veggies, fruits, legumes, nuts, and seeds) and have dropped down to around 115lbs (my 8th grade weight, what???), i only did the juice cleanse for three days, which isn’t long enough, and am now back to whole foods. But, i plan to do a longer one soon. I recommend this cleanse. I really really do. It gives you energy, it cleanses your body of the bad things you may have put into it, and the pounds drop off like crazy (if that’s what you are looking to do).
Watch “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead” on netflix for free.
talk to your doctor or nutritionist.
read this page—> http://www.fatsickandnearlydead.com/about-the-film/learn-more/faq/
and go for it.
amazing things will happen.

ARIZONA ICED TEA IS NOT GOOD FOR YOU
stop drinking it, stop listening to everything telling you that it is healthy, turn the can over and read the ingredients.
unfortunately i can’t find an ingredients list anywhere posted on the internet (picture or text)……gee, i wonder why.
high fructose corn syrup is pretty damn high up there on the ingredients list, yeah?
and ingredients lists on our food packages go from highest percentage to lowest percentage, yeah?
and i am aware of their “lite” and “diet” teas, but they’ve lost my trust.
although MSG is now illegal, it is hiding behind many many new names in our food. and this is even happening in health food stores. heres a small list of some of the names it is suspected of hiding under:
These are the names of some of the MSG-containing ingredients often found in Health Food stores:
amino acids
autolyzed yeast
citric acid
glutamate
glutamic acid
hydrolyzed protein
monopotassium glutamate
monosodium glutamate
protein
whey protein concentrate
also, watch out for low-fat or non-fat labeled foods, msg is often found in them, especially non-fat or low-fat milks.
and that is just a tiny little bit of information on hidden msg, if you want to see more go to this link http://www.truthinlabeling.org/II.WhereIsMSG.html
sooo much good info on that page.
i know these are a lot of ingredients to remember, but make a list, or if you have a smart phone TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT especially when grocery shopping.
Sugar Free food snacks/pops/whathaveyou is not the way to go because typically artificial sweeteners are found in these products. And artificial sweeteners do more than just make you gain weight.
I will explain this in a simple way, because every article I ever find on this seems to be drawn out and boring.
Basically, many artificial sweeteners have an effect on your body that makes it think that you are feeding it sugar, so it gets ready to make use of the sugar and spikes your insulin levels. Once your body realizes it isn’t actually getting sugar at all, it starts to send signals to your brain to seek out sugar—hence why about half an hour after a diet soda, you may find yourself craving something sweet and sugary.
I can’t believe some of the articles I found on this subject that actually promoted these things not only to the general public, but more specifically to people with diabetes. are you kidding me??
Very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium. Also a good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin A and Potassium. A VERY GOOD source of Vitamin C.
Do not add sugar. I repeat do not add sugar on top of your grapefruit or it completely destroys the purpose of eating grapefruit in the first place.
one of my absolute favorite blogs to go to when i’m having bad cravings. It’s simply a blog of photos of healthy whole foods. And if you find yourself one night wanting to down a bag of doritos, stop yourself for just a second and go look at this blog. You’ll be wanting an apple within minutes. no lie.
